We were challenged to make this a success, and we are delighted to share it. What you are doing is wonderful. How did you manage to turn a car-sharing app from a novelty among your workforce into another tool at Michelin sites in such a short time? We had an advantage: our staff were asking for tools to share journeys, especially at the Vitoria, Valladolid and Aranda factories, where people commute from far away. Many people were already car-sharing independently or voluntarily, and that made things easier. We knew it could work, but we did not expect it to be accepted so well. Today, 20% of the workforce uses the Ciclogreen platform, not only for car sharing but also for other forms of transport. This morning we passed one million sustainable kilometres, and I believe that motivates people enormously.

In our case, introducing car sharing has been a very natural process. At Tragsa we have a team that is highly committed to sustainable mobility. Over the years we have achieved strong participation in the 30-day cycling challenge. New proposals are well received, but we were especially surprised by the interest in CicloBono. We did not expect the figures we are achieving day by day, and they have surprised us greatly. Until now, the most-used modes at Tragsa were the bus, train, tram and bicycle. However, because our offices are spread across the country, we knew there was a group already car-sharing without recording those journeys. Since CicloBono was launched, we have seen many new users and strengthened engagement among our most loyal users and cycling team, who use it as a complement to their sustainable mobility habits. Ultimately, the simplest approach is to analyse our colleagues’ travel habits, adapt to their reality and gradually encourage more people to join sustainable mobility.

In our case, at Danobat Group we started in 2024 with a clear goal: connecting people with compatible routes so they could share a car, even if they did not know each other or had not considered doing it regularly. At first, the focus was on making the change in habits easier rather than on incentives. We wanted an easy app that solved a real day-to-day need for people commuting to work. Once the system was working, we added incentives that could be redeemed through the Ciclogreen app. That is when we saw a significant spike: people began trying it, repeating the experience and talking about how well the app worked. More people join every year. When María writes to tell me that the incentives are running out and need replenishing, we can see that people are using and valuing the service. As a manager, I use the app myself. When I tell people I use it, that gives it credibility and means it is not perceived as something that merely encourages people, but as something practical and real. With the arrival of CicloBonos, motivation has multiplied: they do not replace what we already had, they reinforce it. At first it was difficult to bring people on board because it meant changing habits: using the app, scanning the QR code and so on. Today, car sharing is fully integrated into our daily routine; it is no longer an extra, but a normal way of commuting to work. CicloBonos have arrived at the perfect time: once the habit is established, people can earn an extra incentive in addition to what we already offered, and they value it very positively. Personally, when I saw that we were going to receive almost €10,000 in incentives, I was extremely surprised, and I believe people are valuing it very highly too.
